Prior to merging with SCU in April 2008 the two Blue Mountains Branches were originally part of Blue Mountains Credit Union. Both branches support the community by being involved in initiatives such as the Blue Mountains Concert Society, the Adam Crouch Foundation, Central Mountains Rotary Christmas Carols and the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service.
The branches offer over the counter transactions, loans and savings products, insurance, foreign exchange and Western Union services.

Penrith Christmas Festival
SCU was at the Penrith Festival of Christmas on 4th December. Even though it rained on the parade, it didn’t stop the Penrith team from dressing up as elves to accompany Syd the pig. There was plenty of fun to be had with stalls and the Santa fun run as well as SCU’s guessing competition.

Central Mountains Rotary Christmas Carols
The Central Mountains Rotary Christmas Carols, held on 10th December, were sponsored by SCU. There were stalls, buskers, treasure hunts, face painting and a visit bySanta and Syd the Pig. In the spirit of Christmas, families brought gifts to place under the tree for needy families in the area. The carols were performed by the Blue Mountains City Concert Band and Penrith harmony singers as well as Katoomba high school students.
